Congratulations everybody. It is a matter of pleasure and satisfaction that our University has
been granted grade A+ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) . This I
am sure shall bring a new spirit into the academic and research environment of the institution.
This time around the revised criteria based assessment for evaluation and accreditation has
been challenging enough since it included not only the academic and administrative aspects of
institutional functioning but also the emerging issues. The focus of each criterion in turn was
multipronged as it required to cater to several specific key indicators falling under each
category. To be able to come up to the mark in each of these, was by no means an easy task.
And to have achieved what we have, has not just happened; it is the result of hard work and
dedication that the entire University staff, teaching as well as non teaching, scholars and
students have exhibited for the assessment period in general and over the last few months in
particular. For the sincere and untiring efforts put in I extend my sincere gratitude to all the
stakeholders who gave their best in steering the University towards this achievement which has
made us stand as one amongst the prominent institutions of the country. Our Team DIQA
deserves special felicitations for their untiring efforts in putting up the facts and figures in right
perspective as per the assessment requirements. All the Departments, centers, directorates,
and all the sections of administration especially the construction, health and hygiene, proctorial
and landscape wings coordinated and cooperated with this team to the best of their capabilities
to provide logistic support to achieve the desired objectives, and bring this whole process of
assessment to its logical conclusion. I thank one and all for their efforts in making this possible.
Whereas on one hand, we should be proud of our achievement, but on the other it has also
raised the bar for more to be done in future. This therefore demands the least sense of
complacency on our part. There are areas where we all need to work hard to plug in the
loopholes so that the University strives for better grades par excellence in future and gets
placed among the top institutions globally. Together we shall make it possible for sure.
Once again I thank all the stakeholders for their kind cooperation during the entire process of
assessment.
